On the 15th anniversary of “Wild Style”, hip-hop's biggest legends were invited to the Hollywood Athletic Club to view the film and enjoy a concert hosted by Fab Five Freddy and headlined by Grandmaster Flash.
Concert promoter Tony Harris spearheaded the ’98 Reunion Jam: “I got Fab 5 Freddy, Crazy Legs, Prince Whipper Whip, Chief Rocker Busy Bee and Grandmaster Flash to all fly out to Los Angeles. I was working with Charlie Ahearn, the director of the movie, and he sent me an actual reel of the film so I could show the whole film before the concert. I got Jurassic 5, who were just breaking at the time, to open”.
